The 32nd Annual Colorado Balloon Classic:


Welcome to Labor Day weekend in Colorado Springs! This free event takes place in Memorial Park which is located off Pikes Peak Avenue between Hancock Avenue and Union Blvd.

The Colorado Balloon Classic started in 1977 and has grown to be the largest and longest continuously running hot air balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain Region.


Events are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings with a Balloon Glo scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evenings. Enjoy a variety of concessions and entertainment that are available throughout the entire event. This is an event you don’t want to miss. What a great family outing.

Pikes Peak track is sold for $9 million

El Paso County real-estate records show that the buyer, Pikes Peak International Raceway LLC, last month paid $9 million for the 40,000-seat facility south of Colorado Springs.
