Daylight Savings ~ Spring Forward on Sunday, March 10th

Just a friendly reminder that THIS coming Sunday (March 10, 2013) is Daylight Savings ~ time to SPRING FORWARD with your clocks and set them AHEAD one hour.

What is Daylight Savings? Daylight Savings Time, or DST, begins on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November. In March, clocks are moved forward one hour from 2am standard time to 3am DST, and in November, clocks are moved back one hour from 2am DST to 1am standard time. The phrase "spring forward, fall back" is a helpful reminder of these time changes.

Do you enjoy springing your clocks forward? Why or why not? I will share that I do NOT springing forward and "losing" an hour. But... unless you live in the few places in the U.S. that don't observe DST (like Hawaii, parts of Arizona and parts of Alaska) it's just part of life.

Curious to know who in the world participates in Daylight Savings? Check it out.

I know some people wonder "Why do we use daylight savings time?" Here is a great article that addresses that.
